We worked to improve every lacking feature of the original ICY, recreating the game from scratch in Unity 5.Thanks to the exhaustive feedback received from our community and the experience we gained from the original game, we have improved ICY’s formula in many different ways to let it offer a real survival RPG experience in a cold post-apocalyptic world. A new combat system was developed: deeper, more exciting and more challenging than the original one. The survival experience was overhauled in order to offer more variety. A crafting system was introduced, allowing the player to create new items. The original plot was improved and new quests and characters have been added to create a longer and more satisfying experience. The UI was completely reworked to be clearer and better looking. 7aa9394dea Title: ICY: Frostbite EditionGenre: RPGDeveloper:Inner VoidPublisher:Digital TribeRelease Date: 11 Aug, 2017 Download ICY: Frostbite Edition .rar icy frostbite edition cheats. icy frostbite edition wolf pack. icy frostbite edition walkthrough. icy frostbite edition achievements. icy frostbite edition items. icy frostbite edition healing. icy frostbite edition pc. icy frostbite edition trainer. icy frostbite edition bertrand. icy frostbite edition review. icy frostbite edition. icy frostbite edition gry online. icy frostbite edition skidrow. icy frostbite edition black screen. icy frostbite edition tree. icy frostbite edition tips. icy frostbite edition wiki. icy frostbite edition guide. icy frostbite edition steam. icy frostbite edition gameplay. icy frostbite edition download The story is not especially original, but I enjoyed it a lot: mostly interesting, well written, and there were some nice twists I didn't see coming. I like the fact that you get to make some meaningful choices - you don't always get to see their effect, but when you do, it can be surprisingly satisfying.Game mechanics are simple and logical, making battles and crafting fun for a while until it starts getting repetetive. If you like to follow a good story for a few hours (and have the patience to actually READ it) with some RPG and survival elements, I'd recommend this game.. I think I got this game as part of a fairly inexpensive bundle. So, to be honest, I probably did not give the game the consideration it deserves when I first tried it. First time- I did not like it, could not get into it. So, I tabled it, and moved on to other games.I came back, not sure why. Maybe a review caught my eye, or another friend who plays posted something about the game. Whatever it was, I am glad I came back. The game deserves more consideration than I first gave it.It does start off slowly, and the game's pace overall is a bit slow. But, it is narrative based, with strategy/combat/management and a bit of survival thrown in. There is little to no tutorial, you will need to look at everythin in the UI and HUD to see what it is, and what it does. Combat feels fairly unintuitive at first. but once I played more, and engaged in more battles, it made sense, and started feeling very second-nature. Big thing is, try differnt combos when possible, before making a final choice and activating that choice. Different actions and combos have very different effects, and you need to think tactically, even down to the order you take actions in. You may need to start new games, or reload to older saves before it really starts clicking. It did finally click for me, hopefully it will for you too.The main thing about this game that blew me away was the narrative, the depth of the story. The characters and their unique views, histories and attitudes, was so much more complex, deep and detailed than I expected. It is a complete work of fiction, many things are somewhat unbelievable. But there are so many "realities" and relatable events, conversations and possibilities, it makes it easy to become emotionally invested in your rag-tag bunch of team members, and in the story in general. It was much more immersive than I expected. But (caveat) it does take some time to build up, and become immersive. Instant gratification seekers might not enjoy the slow build up and careful layering. It has a few issues that were a bit frustrating. A number of crashes on game launch, where the game just immediately stopped responding, sometimes several times in a row, sometimes it would launch just fine the second try. Event logs marked it as an apphang,no overheat, but a possible memory leak showed at times. No crashes during actual gameplay, once the game did launch, it ran beautifully on a 6 year old desktop gaming toaster rig. It is a Unity engine game, so some of the "usual" Unity quirks are to be expected. Nothing gamebreaking for me.The quest markers can be difficult to see, either too low contrast, too small, or completely invisible until I switched from windowed mode to full screen. That was furstrating, and something I hope the dev(s) will address by using a bolder font for the "?" markers, or a higher contrast color. There is no zoom on the map, so you have to move slowly over the entire thing, and squint hard and look for those question marks. Honestly, this is my biggest issue with the game. I feel like I wasted a few hours of my life trying to find one particular quest marker, that was not visible until i went to fullscreen mode. Irked me a bit, indeed. So, TL;DR- it isn't a game for everyone. it is an interesting mash-up of Narrative Driven Adventure, RTS/TBS, and Survival. With a "choices matter" system where choices really do matter, with several different endings possible, based on your choices.Total playtime for one run probably should be 15-17 hours, if you don't get stuck searching th map for hours looking for those elusive ninja quet markers, and if you actually read the story texts and speak to all of your team members, to learn their back-stories and personality "quirks". I do feel the game has replayability, to see how different choices change the story, and to see how assigning skill points differntly affects the protagonist. I will be playing it again, rather than achievement hunting using previous saves, though that is also an option if you just want to 100% the game after your first playtrhough. Not sure I can say it is worth full price, to be honest, but worth a pick up on sale or in a bundle. It is a hidden gem, IMHO, and needs a little more consideration than I think many of us gave it when it first released.. It is a good game with good concept. it is clearly an indie project with some limitations, on top i will say the easy to broke story. If you don't follow the main story is really easy to screw up the game on a point you can't recover and cut off some decision and event.Other major points is the lenght. It is really a short game, i can't say that the price is correct for a product so short.Generally speaking is a yes, but i will suggest to wait for a sale offer to buy it. at the current 12,99 euro ( i am european ) is not really worth the price. i will also strongly suggest a 2 chapter with more items, story, etc. it will leave a deisre for more for sure. Weird mix of genre's that combines to make an engrossing, slightly rough but tasty treat. It has all the trappings of an open world RPG (full party, skills, loot, crafting, survival, lots of choice & consequence) but is really an elaborate visual novel or CYOA game. Or maybe it's a NEO Scavenger with a lot more writing but less detail? If you don't expect too much (especially from the survival aspect) then there is a lot to enjoy in roughly 10-15 hours of play. You lead a small band of nomads across the frozen wasteland that earth has become. It's not as grim as you'd expect it to be. Playing felt almost relaxing and tranquil. That's partially due to the un-gratuitous nature of the writing – it's mature, grounded and effectivel – and partially due to the bizarre combat mechanics. The combat mechanics are what will ultimately decide whether you enjoy this original game. While the other mechanics attempts to simulate reality (to whatever extent the budget allowed) the combat system skews far into puzzle/CCG territory. I have no idea if you'll like it, it's unlike any other system I've tried. I usually don't enjoy this approach, I prefer my combat turn based, on hexes, with as much granularity as possible. But this won me over, sort of. It's actually quite deep. It translates the choices you made with your character very well (ie playing a brawler will feel quit different from a stealthy sniper). It gives opponents variety and a way to express their flavor. But holy♥♥♥♥♥♥is it opaque and needlessly fiddly. You can read the full review[oldgrizzledgamers.com]. I go on at some length, not because of the size of the game - it's mid-sized at best – but because so many of the game's systems are odd. Not bad, it all worked in the end, but definitely rough around the edges and uneven.Pros and cons listed below are in rough order of impact.Pros- good, concise writing throughout.- interesting and varied characters, both that in your party and that you meet.- very grounded, realistic world. Feels like some time has passed since the apocalypse (unlike say Fallout 4) and the world has settled down.- impactful choice and consequence.- the world and its characters (even the villains) react and behave very rationally- good pacing both in the story, the efficient CYOA and leveling and gearing up as you progress. Rarely boring.- best sequences are your nomad family's individual quests and histories which I regret not getting into until the end (I didn't realize they were deep)- totally stable- loot and crafting are both good but not vast. Interesting all the way to the end.- serious, well drawn static artCons- rough around the edges. In some places (no tooltips or labels on the world map? Wtf?) annoyingly so.- uneven difficulty throughout (but never unfair).- small mistakes in narrative and dialogue choices- drops an entire important story thread- some story twists are predictable, some themes cliché- higher resolutions cut off the top or sides – had to play at 1680x1050 which was fineNeutral- very strange combat system. Makes or breaks the game. For me it was a slight positive.- very light survival elements. I was fine with it, but strange considering such care went into creating a fully realized bleak environment.- not a super harsh world. It's post-post-apocalyptic. Things have settled down and feel realistic – not everyone is a♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥or cannibal. Just people trying to survive in a harsh, cold world.Ok, I'm going to stop now :) It's such an odd little game I could go on for a while detailing those differences. Read the full review[oldgrizzledgamers.com] if you care but in the end, if you like both CYOA and RPGs you'll probably like it.. I am shocked to find this game with its most outdated graphics , alomost zero animations , horrible music and no voice acting to be the best game I have played in a long time.I don't usally play indie games but I still love this one --it's my choise for GOTY :)I have no idea why but In the end the horrible music felt just right for this game--i was shocked by the music at first but i ended up liking this weird music. The text is kept short so it won't feel like a chore to read , it's actually fun to read beacuse there is sontimes so much action in the short slides of text. The story line is amazing the .I loved all the charectars --they are all intresting and unique. The world is so innovative it's like no other story I have ever seen.while all other games' world narratives are starting to look the same this one is a refreshing experience.I did incounter a bug in the end of the game that prevanted me to finish the game in a certain way --but it happend because I have done some conflicting dialogue choices that the developor probably didn't predict the possibility that some player will do it. for 1.5$ I have no right to complain about any bug .(I think I would pay for it 7$ or even 12$ if not for the bug) -in battles there is a small check box to make battles to run faster --use it!!!-BTW the developer still releases patches as far as I know-so I submitted my bug.. GoodThe artThe music is haunting, reminds me of NEO Scavengers music.Muh/it dependsEverything is 1 weight & size and you have 150 inventory limit, it's more than enough to be a hauler. On one hand it's unrealistic but on the other hand, it prevented players from fighting the inventory management system.Same as crafting, everything is made by two items.I played middium difficulty, I don't craft much and gone through the game no problem. Thus I find the game is rather easy.Certain locations have fixed loot chance, so you can get semi decent equipments there consistantly early on.Everyone is one/two medkits from fully healed and it takes no time.. Glowing B00bs''Carlos was funny af, even tho annoying at times. Now about the game: Story takes place after humanity failed. Ice Age is inbound, and every human walking White Wastelands is paying price now. You are part of a ''Family'' - group of nomads living in the mountains. You get introduced to the game fast, and with couple of characters that are part of your Family. Stuff, happens and you start new adventure trying to make things right. Will you form alliance with people who did you wrong or will you take your revenge on them? It is your choice, whatever you do, story can change. You will gain new companions, you will loose existing ones, but life will go on.You will see members of your Family fight, you will need to resolve conflicts, you will listen to them and form an opinion. You will meet a woman that's walking naked with glowing tattooes, your companion will point you in direction of ''Glowing B00bs''.You will be ambushed, you will be attacked by both wild animals and vile people. You will be lied to, you will be at the pointy end of the rifle.Pros about game:+Nice artistic graphics, especially for people like myself who don't care too much about graphics and can adapt to whatever type the game is if the story is good.+Great story with many twists+Nice in game atmosphere and music that enhances experience+Your choices do matter+Unique companions with different personalities+Easy to get a hang on battle system consisted of drawing cards and combining them for utilizing their true potential.+Simple crafting system+Plenty of in-game itemsCons about game:-Not many roles that your companions can take. Your companions can wield Melee/Bow/Firearm weapons. So only 3 different roles for them.-You can't really affect your companion development. For example Demetra the character you have walking beside you from the beginning will be Melee fighter all the time until almost end where she can wield Bow.-Not many options when it comes to battles. Few battle cards, few ways to combine them. Couple of additional ''throwable'' weapons that you can use in battle, one every turn to be precise.-Motivation gauge. I think it could've been better if the motivation was more influenced by your Leadership outside of battles, the way you handle things, the way you lead your Family. Maybe even if there was day/night cycle where you could have various options at the night, when whole Family is around bonfire to Motivate them and you could raise or decrease their individual potential in battles.-Quests are hardy described, lack of information is real. -Map is kinda clunky and weird-Encountered bug where quest markers disappear until 1 tile away from the said quest.-Encountered bug where after completing quest and talking to NPC I get rewarded over my carrying limit (150 items), I get to carry 155 out of 150, and then when I start clicking on the items that trader has, they start duplicating, until I throw items from my inventory so I have less than 150, then I am able to get all those duplicated items back to me, making me have infinite number of food or bullets. All in all the game is 8.5/10. I enjoyed it very much. Also I bought it on sale for 2.5€ and it's worth much more than that.I think developers could use this game as template to make even greater experience.. This game is a perfect "Choose Your Story" kind of game. You've got a good story, nice RPG elements, the characters are believable and you really feel like you are taking care of your tribe in post-apocalyptic frozen wasteland.Combat is not great, but it's also not the focus of the game. The narrative and characters more than compensate for that.If you're playing on Mac, make sure to download the linuxcompatibility beta, otherwise the map won't render.. Game stops working after the first level. Great survival game that I've been looking forBut just reached the first trading place and the rate is insane 7.5 : 1That means for the same item,If you buy it from the market = 15If you sell yours to the market = 2So I don't use the markets at all except to get schematicsAlso there's some bugs- When I saved there's still 1 scavange option (village) left, but after loading it's gone
